Broad Oak Energy has established significant lease positions totaling approximately 90,000 acres equally distributed between West Texas, South Texas, and North Louisiana.

Broad Oak leases are nearly 100% operated properties with high working interests, and are geographically concentrated in repeatable drilling plays and prospects with significant upside potential.

Permian Basin

Broad Oak has assembled approximately 25,000 acres in the Wolfberry play of the Midland Basin. Assets include both infill and extension drilling prospects targeting over one dozen proven producing intervals that comprise Upper and Lower Spraberry, Dean and Wolfcamp reservoirs. A 35 well drilling program is underway for 2008.

 

South Texas

In South Texas, Broad Oak is focused on field extension and horizontal drilling prosepcts in the Edwards Limestone shelf margin trend, also known as the Stuart City Trend. Up to 12 wells are planned for 2008.

North Louisiana

In North Louisiana, Broad Oak has assembled over 30,000 acres in the Smackover Gray Sand and Cotton Valley Sand plays. In both plays, horizontal drilling technology and improved fracture stimulation methods are being utilized in field extension, infill and exploration prospect types. Up to 12 wells are planned for 2008.
